Alternative Learning Programs
Alternative Learning Programs are available for students who need or desire a learning environment that is different from a traditional school.
Students with a Health Condition
Families are encouraged to provide health information, medications and special procedure information to the school nurse. This information will allow the school to provide your child a safe learning environment.
Students with Special Education Needs
Families with children who have special education needs, health-related needs, or accessibility needs and require special education services, should contact the Special Education Lead Resource Office or the Principal at their school of choice before completing their school application to find out whether those services or supports are available at that school.
Title 1
Title 1 services are provided for public and non-public school students and their families in eligible schools. These services vary from school to school and include academic assistance, parent education and counseling.
Discovery Club
Discovery Club is a fee-based program that provides extended-day programming before and after school at several Saint Paul elementary schools.
English Language Learner Programs
English Language Learner (ELL) Programs offer a wide variety of services for students whose native language is not English. The primary goal is to help students develop their English language skills so that they can successfully participate in mainstream classrooms.
Gifted Services
Gifted Services include a variety of academic programs and competitions.
